The Barley Hill Fund at the Community Foundation is open for applications in 2018. The Fund will award grants from £500 to £2,000 to projects which benefit the residents of Healey and Minsteracres Parish where the hall was situated.
In 2017 the Fund made two awards totalling £4,832. Local charity Lifespan Complementary, received an award of £3,000 towards its “Mature Movers” fitness class. Thanks to support from the fund, the charity is running 20, two-hour, sessions at Minsteracres from September 2017 through to March 2018.
Ladycross Nature and Art were the other group to receive an award in 2017, with £1,832 being awarded to help to purchase a new solar powered activity cabin.
